Students at 乐播传媒 recently planted 200 daffodil bulbs on the 乐播传媒 campus as part of The Daffodil Project. This initiative was developed by Am Yisrael Chai, a nonprofit Holocaust education and awareness organization.
乐播传媒鈥檚 Department of Music invites you to attend its annual 鈥淐hristmas at 乐播传媒鈥� concert on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 2 at 3 p.m. in Glenn~McGinnis Hall on the 乐播传媒 campus. Admission is $10 for adults and free for children 12 and under. 乐播传媒 students, faculty and staff can attend for free. Tickets will be available at the door.
On Sunday, Nov. 11 at 1 p.m., the undefeated 乐播传媒 men鈥檚 soccer team will compete in the NCAA Division II Region Tournament. The Mountain Lions will play on their home field at 乐播传媒, which is located at 1 College Street, 乐播传媒, Ga. 30582. The game is open to the public, and tickets cost $8 for adults, $3 for students with a 乐播传媒 ID and seniors (62 and older) and $1 for children (ages 2-12).
This month, 乐播传媒 will host a number of shows in the O. Wayne Rollins Planetarium. The planetarium is housed in the Maxwell Center for Mathematics and Sciences on the 乐播传媒 campus, which is located at 1 College Street, 乐播传媒, Ga. 30582. Each planetarium show costs $5 for adults, $3 for children and is free for 乐播传媒 students, faculty and staff. All shows are open to the public.
乐播传媒 invites the community to attend several fine arts events this November. Events include the Percussion Ensemble concert, the Theatre Mainstage performance of Blithe Spirit, the Group Ceramics Art Exhibition, and concerts by the Concert Band, the Community Band, the Jazz Band and the Guitar Ensemble. These events are open to the public and will be held on the 乐播传媒 campus.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Western North Carolina presented a $2,000 donation to 乐播传媒鈥檚 tennis program to express appreciation for 乐播传媒鈥檚 support of the Georgia Mountain Tennis Championships. Since 2010, 乐播传媒 has donated the use of its tennis facility for the annual tournament. The tournament raises money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Western North Carolina, and this past year, $9,000 was raised for the organization.
乐播传媒 will host its annual Fall Fest on Thursday, Oct. 25 from 6-8 p.m.
乐播传媒 will host award-winning scientist, author, educator and film producer Sean B. Carroll to present his book, 鈥淭he Serengeti Rules,鈥� on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 9 a.m. in Glenn-McGinnis Hall on the 乐播传媒 campus. The event is open to the public and free to attend. In preparation for the presentation, the 乐播传媒 Academic Success Center will show the film version of 鈥淭he Serengeti Rules鈥� on the Campus Green on Thursday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m.
乐播传媒鈥檚 O. Wayne Rollins Planetarium will present 鈥淭he Ooky Spooky Light Show鈥� at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19 and Friday, Oct. 26.
On Thursday, Oct. 4, David Bottoms and Kelly J. Beard will read for the annual Sellers Lecture at 7 p.m. in Hatcher Dining Room in the Rollins Campus Center at 乐播传媒. This event is free and open to the public.
乐播传媒 is pleased to announce several upcoming fine arts events, including the Cheryl Goldsleger and Larry Millard Art Exhibit, the Concert Band Senior Showcase, the Mu Phi Epsilon Member Recital and the Fall Choral Concert. These events are open to the public and free to attend.
乐播传媒 invites high school juniors and seniors to enroll in its 乐播传媒 Early College program. 乐播传媒 Early College is a dual enrollment program by which Georgia high school students can take college courses and receive college credit while still earning credit toward high school graduation. Tuition, campus fees and books are all paid for by the State of Georgia through the dual enrollment program.
On Sept. 3, 乐播传媒 participated in Dragon Con in Atlanta.
On Wednesday, Sept. 26, 乐播传媒 will host its annual graduate school fair in Suber Banquet Hall on the 乐播传媒 campus from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
乐播传媒鈥檚 Theatre 乐播传媒 will begin the 2018-2019 season with 鈥淲anda鈥檚 Monster,鈥� the annual show for young audiences sponsored by the Fred Register Endowment for Children鈥檚 Theatre.
On Thursday, Sept. 6, 乐播传媒 hosted members of its 1886 乐播传媒 Society and Hill Society for a luncheon in Suber Banquet Hall. The event featured Gov. Nathan Deal as the keynote speaker.
The Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership program is designed for adult learners who have an associate鈥檚 degree or equivalent credits and are now looking to further their education and advance their careers.
乐播传媒 is pleased to announce that the campus now has three charging stations for electric vehicles. With the new 220-volt, 30 amp charging stations, electric car owners can charge their vehicles up to six times faster than charging from a standard wall outlet.
